How to Root Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 on Official Android 4.1.2?


Note:
  • This update is only available for the international version of Galaxy S3 device i.e. Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300.
  • This is not a legal way, after rooting your device you might lose your phone’s warranty for sure.

Requirements to root your Galaxy S3 :

  • Install USB drivers for Samsung Galaxy S3 in your PC on which you are going to perform this task
  • Make your phone debugging enabled.
  • Go to:-  Menu>> Settings>> Applications> Development < USB Debugging Mode Turn On
  • Before moving further with this process, you need to take a backup of your device
  • Ensure that your device battery is charged up to 85%
  • You need to have a proper USB data cable with you
  • After ensuring all these things you can now be able to root your Galaxy S3 phone. Let’s get started…

How to Root Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 on Official Android 4.1.2 firmaware?

Step 1 :

  • Extract files from the downloaded folder to your PC.

  • Put your Galaxy S3 in complete switch off mode.
Step 5 :
  • Put it into a Download mode.
  1. press and hold the Volume Down
  2. Home and Power buttons together for a few seconds
  3. Press the power button again after seeing an Android Robot on your screen
Step 6:
  • Run Odin package on your PC.
Step 7:
  • Connect your Galaxy S3 device by using a proper data cable to your PC.
Step 8:
  • Click on PDA and select the CF-Auto-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar file from the odin package.
Step 9 :
  • Make sure you have selected an auto reboot option in Odin package.
Step 10:
  • Check all the options well click on to Begin button from Odin Package. Your installation will start by now.
Step 11:
  • This process will takes a few minutes to install the things in your Galaxy S3.
Step 12 :
  • Once it get done, the phone will automatically starts. After the home screen appears there, you can simply remove your phone from a Data Cable.
Step 13 :
  • Your phone is now running on an official Android 4.1.2 with a successful rooting process. You are now allowed to make and install any other ROMs or firmware within this Rooted Galaxy S3 device. You can make most of it with this root process.
